Dovo Solingen

Over a century ago, a couple of business partners in Germany’s Solingen region decided they were going to launch an enterprise together. That venture went on to become Dovo and started out as both a knife and razor blade manufacturer.

By that point Solingen was already well known for its tradition of premium steel products, however, it was the Dovo razor that would go on to give the region worldwide attention.

Despite overcoming the same downturn in sales felt by other companies during the second world war, Dovo was to be hit with a different kind of challenge: the introduction of the electric shaver.

Not feeling that the electric shaver fit with the brand, Dovo instead sought to expand it’s market through another product line: hair scissors and men’s grooming scissors. The experiment proved a success - in fact we carry all of Dovo’s product lines.

Customers who enjoy Dovo razors and assorted products also buy Dapper Dan Barbershop Classic Shaving Cream, Omega Shaving Brushes, Captain Fawcett’s Beard Oil and Jack Dean Aftershave.
